Three years, 54 tasks
<

A little over 1001 days ago, I created this list. By my count, I completed fifty-four items from the list. Some of these items were left incomplete because life got in the way or they felt less meaningful. Sometimes, I was true to the spirit of the goal but didn’t actually accomplish it. (Looking at you, consecutive days of yoga!) Others, like the travel goals, shifted. I had high hopes for big trips to new places. But, that wasn’t in the cards. Coming out of the chaos of 2020-21, we craved familiar places. Instead of seeking new adventures, we did a fair amount of traveling to places we love. We also spent two months in early 2021 living in a temporary apartment. That, in itself, was a fun experience.

Some of these items remain on my life list as desirable accomplishments. I’m conflicted about whether to start a new list. There is an appeal to the 101 tasks in 1001 days framework. I appreciate having multiple seasons to complete these tasks. Perhaps I’ll create a new list to see if I can improve my completion rate.

Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever made a 101 tasks list. Should I make another list?
